Dug in for remainder of winter

As is usual in January we've gone into deep freeze again. The temperatures are well below what is even remotely considered reasonable. This morning at 10 am it's -36°C/-33°F. Even the dogs are not interested in going out there. In fact, we have them going out on a timer. Kind of like eggs. Three minutes and you're done. This goes according to the temperature out there. If it drops to -40° they're on a two minute timer. Cody will actually bark if he wants to come in but Fenway (pictured) doesn't and we don't want to forget him out there.
We're like a pair of bears - barricaded inside, sleeping, eating, reading and trying to clean up our den. (Do hybernating bears read?)
January and February are the kind of months up here that nothing happens unless you love winter. You can hear snowmobiles zooming around out there at all hours but you rarely see them. This is a good time to get caught up on reading the books and watching the dvds you got for Christmas
